We were super skeptical about using a realtor. We're the kind of people who have a hard time believing that someone working on commission can REALLY have the buyers' best intentions in mind. But Adam proved us wrong in the best way! He was super aggressive, made a genuine effort to really try and understand what our goals were, and narrowed our search accordingly. The end result was a very efficient, well-explained, and thorough process. He stopped showing us houses he knew we wouldn't vibe with. He responded to even our dumbest questions late at night, on weekends, through texts, emails, calls. He helped us navigate a pretty treacherous situation with a couple of ignorant sellers, protected our deposit, and quickly got us into our home of choice even in a super-competitive sellers' market. The bonus about Adam, being the capable, handy, Captain America guy he is...he's renovated his own house, by himself, so he has an impeccable eye for spotting deferred maintenance...little things that are easily-missed on a house-hunt that can create unanticipated costs and headaches down the road...dry rot, missing shingles, water stains....all the little signs that you only see when you've done drywall yourself, you've replaced fascia boards yourself, you've done framing yourself, you've been to Home Depot a billion times and you can spot the cheap "on sale" tiles, vs the higher end renovation. Touring a house with Adam is a lot like getting the home inspection up front.
Furthermore, Adam networks with EXCELLENT people. He connected us with his preferred finance expert, and she was stellar. Same kind of late-night/weekend work ethic. Made the loan process way easier than our previous two lenders.
Above all that, Adam is just a really cool dude. I wish that I were super rich and had an excuse to buy more houses, because I only regret that I don't get to work with him anymore! Even still, the sale wasn't the end of our relationship with him; he follows up, still cares about how the home is for us. Having crossed paths with other realtors throughout our house hunt, we are SO glad we had Adam on our side. You''ll be, too.
